SMC - ActiveSync Connection over Android 6.x doesn't work "active sync id 'androidcxxxxxxxx' has permission UserAgentNotAllowed"

Hello,

after installing the SMC Client on the android phone and connecting to the smc server we are not able to connect a activesync mailbox over the smc. In the log of the server we got only the message ....

INFO [EASP_androidcxxxxxx InboundHandler_Exchange] active sync id 'androidcxxxxx' has permission UserAgentNotAllowed

Can someone tell us what this message means and where we can change the "permission"?

Hi,

you could check if you set up a user agent filter during the EAS-Proxy deployment. Maybe you only allow the Sophos Secure Email user agent to synchronize via the EAS-Proxy.
