We are seeing devices that are out of compliance because the max synchronization gap is too long. The iPhone SMC app shows it's syncing and can reach the server, but is unable to regain compliance because it fails to update the Last MDM synchronization. I checked the log, and I get the following error: E | 2017/01/25 12:28:34:931 | Couldn't remove last invalid cert hash. How do I correct this issue? To give a bit of history, this iPhone is my backup phone, and hasn't been powered on for about 3 weeks. At this point, I think I will have to re-enroll the device. I tried to push delete profile, and it said it was "accepted", but never deleted the iOS SMC profile. Please advice on how to prevent and correct this issue?
On another note, I''m seeing several iOS devices outside the normal sync gap. Several users have turned off background app refresh, because iOS 10 is warning them it's running in the background, so they naturally turn it off. Is there a way to force this setting on? I'd prefer to user not have this option vs. the phone reaching max sync gap and triggering a "stop mail sync".
