V7.0.8 and older devices

I am getting ready to do the update to V7.0.8 however the info says

Decommissioned features and platform changes

  • Android 4.0 and 4.1
  • iOS 7.x

I am removing and updating these older devices however as I am sure we are all aware getting users to update can be a total pain.

What I would like to know is if I do the update with a small number of old devices still registered what will be the issues?

    Hi John,

    you could still keep the devices within your server and try to manage them.

    However, some iOS 7 or Android 4.0 / 4.1 related settings may not work or have been removed.
    In addition, the Sophos apps were not tested anymore with these operating systems.

    Therefore, if any issues occur with that kind of devices, Sophos will not deliver a fix.

    That helps me, we do not have many but it was just if I did not catch them all before the update
