How can I evaluate imported profiles ?

A version can be assigned for the profiles created with the Apple Configuration tool. The identifier is calculated automatically.
When profile is distributed to the device, the version is not transferred. An extended filter cannot be set for an identifier in the profiles section, so that the version number must be included in the label. Why is there a difference between with imported profiles and profiles created with SMC ?

    If you create the profile in SMC, you can see and edit individual settings. If you import the profile from the Apple Configuration tool, you can not see or edit the settings in SMC. My guess is, that the settings that SMC uses are stored in a database, and a .mobileconfig is created and deployed when required. I would also guess that SMC can not parse/read the imported .mobileconfig files from Apple Configurator and so treats them differently.
