Loss and Theft - does not like screen lock on Samsung Galaxy Nexus/Jelly Bean

I installed Sophos Mobile Security today and am impressed with the malware scanner. (BTW, it found none on my phone!)

However, it seems to insist that "Screen lock is disabled." - I have tried adjusting it to lock Immediately on sleep, and have tried pattern and password modes, but on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, it does not seem to make a blind bit of difference, therefore the Loss and Theft features cannot be used.

Is there a workaround, or will there be a fix, for this?

  • Hello,

sorry for the delay, but we had to analyse the logs and try to reproduce the issue.

The trace does not show any error. and we were not able to reproduce it on four different Nexus Phones.

Can you please provide the following information (can be found at Settings/About phone)

    • Model number
    • Android version
    • Kernel version
    • Build number

Do you have any other security app or alternative launcher installed?

    Regards
    Thomas
