APIs for device management?

Are there some APIs available for reading device groups, devices and some basic mdm functions? I only found an "app groups API guide", but i cant believt that this should be all.

    Thanks, for the answer.

    Do you know, if delete a device means also removing the management profile?

    Is it possible to get a list of devices for a given device group? The api only delivers a list of id's, what means a lot of additional requests to get that information. As an alternative, i would like to request a bunch of devices providing multiple device id's to the devices api... if possible.
