Wi-Fi Security "Insecure" false warning

I am getting "Insecure" warning when the Wi-Fi is "WPA/WPA2 PSK" secured with a long key.

Android 6.0.1 on Nexus 6P, Sophos version 6.0.1789(15).

Anyone else have this?

Thanks.

  • Hi Tim,

I used to experience this on my Z3. If you have any stored networks which are unsecured or if your phone is set to automatically connect to open networks then this warning will flag up. Sometimes your network provider will configure SSIDs for their open wireless networks automatically which was the case with mine.

You can go into Wi-Fi settings and view saved networks and delete any open ones, in settings.

    Hope this helps
