Can profiles in SMC be pushed to the device silently?

Having to make slight changes to the device profiles fairly infrequently, is there a way to push an updated version of a profile to the device, without the user needing to open the Control App (ver. 6.0.2257) on a Samsung Galaxy S5? I have the users set passwords for their devices and currently, I do not have a KNOX Enterprise license.

Anyone else have this issue?

    all profiles should be pushed out silently by default.
    There was an issue with older Sophos Mobile Control versions, where our app was terminated by the Android operating system due to battery saving purposes.

    However, if you have installed the "Security & Antivirus Guard" this should not happen anymore. Have you installed that app on the device?
    What kind of profile are you trying to update? What is configured in there?

    I have made the Security & Antivirus Guard a mandatory and Protected app - to prevent any user from circumventing the security of the devices.


    The profile in question here is the default Android profile, which sets up:

    App control for the App group - containing our blocked apps for the devices: BlurbCheckout for Samsung's Story Album - both pre-installed bloatware... and the NFC service - some users might leave this on all the time which is concerning - so we just eliminated the option to turn it on.

    Device Restrictions:

    We allow most everything with the exceptions to some items that we feel may complicate or cause potential security risks to our users or internal network.

    Hope this helps others as well.
