with smc 6.0 I'm trying to configure EXternal LDAP direcory

Question

with smc 6.0 I'm trying to configure External LDAP direcory 
 1. First I got to the setup-->system setup-->user setup 2. pressed the Configure external LDAP button 3. type=Active Directory primary URL=ldap://servername.domainname 4. enter my credentials. so far so good 5. search base= topdomain 6. Username=sAMAccountName Email=mail 7. SSP group= I tried emty, a star, and adding a group 8. after that I press apply 9. press save. 
 Beneath the manage tab I got a extra option users. But when I click on the it says: "no records found". 
 When I go to my devices on the user tab i see --- 
 Do I still have to import the users, am I missing something or im a doing something wrong? 
 Is there any log file available or knowledgebase item?

Hi,

there is no "Import" functionality for the "Users" view.
Users will appear in the "Users" view as soon as you assign them to a mobile device or if they register a mobile device via the Self Service Portal.
To assign a user to a device, edit a device and then use the option "Assign user to device" from the "Actions" pane.
Using this option, you can search within your Active Directory for the user in question.
After saving the device, the "Users" view should show the user you just have linked.
