Invalid credentials for synchronization. Error -36

We have had a few mobile phones recently become "Not" compliant. When I have checked Sophos Mobile Control the device says "Device has to Synchronize" >4weeks. When I look at the Tasks Archive list it shows it Completely Failed to Sync....and when I look at this it shows "Invalid credentials for synchronisation" Error -36

Can anyone explain what this means and how to get rid of it....I have 5-6 phones now show this same error

    we had that issue in the past in an old version of the Sophos Mobile Control app on Android.
    Are we talking about Android devices here? Are you perhaps using an SMC 4 client together with an SMC 5 server?

    Please make sure you are using the latest version of the SMC app available in the app store on your devices.
