Use activation lock bypass

Hey guys,

I love that in SMC 6 we can manage activation lock bypass. As per the admin guide on page 22 I have enabled this feature for our supervised devices.

If i want to make use of this feature to actually bypass a locked phones activation status, how do I go about that. There is nothing I can find in the documentation on how to do this.

    Hi rozrohan,

    if you have a supervised device and activated the "Activation Lock bypass" feature a new "Action" should appear for that supervised device.
    So go to the "Devices" view and find a supervised device and open the details by clicking on it.
    Press the "Actions" button and then the "Activation lock bypass" should be present which can be executed.

    Hey Stefan,

    Thanks for your help. I thought that enrolling the phone meant it was supervised. Apparently not because I cannot see the activation lock bypass.

    I now understand that I need to have supervised the devices using apple configurator or DEP before I can use this feature. 

    Sophos needs to improve their documentation surrounding how this feature works.

    we have this feature enabled but im unsure how its works, this is enabled and i am working with a supervised device, how ever the code is hidden, i have re-syc the devices, run the tacks to activation lock bypass but nothing is happening, find my iphone is still enable and im not asked for a code or shown a code on the device properties.
