SMC 6.0: Task-Bundle: Waiting for User Interaction (iOS)

Hi there,

I created a Task Bundle for the installation of a VPP-purchased App. Task was sent to the iPad and executed, App appeared on the iPad an could be opened without any questions for an apple-ID (YES, finally). But when I sent a second Task Bundle, it did not execute because the first Task Bundle ended up with "Waiting for User Interaction". I can't see any need for a user interaction on the iPad. When I delete this pending job which was executed already, then the next install-job starts and ends up with the same state. What's wrong?

Cheers

Detlef

  • Hi Detelf,

are we talking about iOS 9.2 devices?
If yes, this might be related to a bug within the iOS 9.2 release where the MDM deamon crashes when getting the list of installed apps.
This is also explained in an Apple KBA: support.apple.com/.../HT205654

In that case we don't have a solution for you at the moment besides waiting for a fix from Apple or using your already mentioned workaround.

    Best regards
