USSD Blocker

I am confused about the USSD blocker, the description says "Protects your device from attacks via USSD codes. Register Sophos to scan every dialed number", exactly how is this achieved?

Other stand alone apps have a procedure that sets up the ussd blocker but there appears to be nothing similar in Sophos!

Will Sophos automatically intercept any USSD code?

  • Hi Snike,

the USSD blocker is automatically activated.
All rights the Sophos Mobile Security (SMSec) app needs are given after enabling the device administrator.

If a USSD code is detected, SMSec will show a hint and asks you what you want to do with that.
    Additional configuration is not required.

    Best regards
