Unable to upgrade from 3.6.X.X to 4.0.X.X

Hi. I have tried doing an upgrade from 3.6.0.5 to 4.0.0.4 and got the following error when choosing my existing database:

Error! Database version and setup version do not mach.

<3.6.0.5> != <4.0.0.4>
Please create a new database.

When I look at the log files I found this message:

Checking existing database SMCDB.

Found database for version <3.6.0.5>. Compare against <4.0.0.4>.

Version difference! Abort

Can anyone assist with this?

Thanks

  • I found out the problem for this, during the upgrade of the table, SQL queries the registry of the local machine, I think it is do with the the system checking whether if it the cloud product or self hosted, and the SQL service needs to be an admin account, where as my SQL account was just a local system account.
