New Installation of SMC 3.0.0.6

I am attempting an install of SMC server. The install goes Ok (after ironing out other issues with SQL express, Removing IIS, opening port 2195 etc for the pre-requisite checks). All checks are fine, and the server installs without error.

However when I go to conect to the portal - even on the local server http://127.0.0.1 or https://127.0.0.1 I get a 404 error (the requested resource is not available) and cannot find how to resolve this.

The installation is of SMC 3.0.0.6 on windows server 2008R2 x 64 using SQL express installed locally. It's probably something simple I've missed but I've removed and re-installed a couple of times and I am still getting the same error.

Any ideas?

    Stefan,

    I eventually got it to work. After removal of the software and re-installation for about the 10th time.

    When configuring the database connection I selected the option to connect using SQL authentication and this seems to have done the job. I had been selecting windows authentication up to that.
