Support for windows 8 phones very poor

Hello,

Why is almost every feature of controlling windows phone 8 impossible with Sophos Mobile control?

Is there any news of these features getting support in newer versions of sophos mdm? Because I think a lot of companies will want to start using windows phone 8 because of their IT landscapes already being Microsoft for a huge part. I now have to either start looking for a new mdm solution or stop my company from wanting to use Windows Phones.

    Thats my idea (im Marijn) :-)

    I just added it so logically it hasnt received much votes yet. The problem with this site is that already popular ideas just keep getting more popular because they are on top. Lower (because newer) are not. (A bit like the rich getting richer).. Its therefor not a really good system for getting the useful ideas into development because simply said, democracy doesnt work, its the best of of other, even worse, solutions :-)


    However, if someone at Sophos, whos capable of assessing these ideas and scaling them into market-value (in the sense that its useful for the customers who use Sophos MDM) it would probably be a better rating system than it currently is because i simply cannot believe that someone will read 10+ pages of ideas.

    My 2 cents would be to let a Sophos employee read every idea and upscale it or perhaps even "spotlight" it, whenever he or she thinks it has value for the IT landscape.

    Windows 8 Tablets are a real thing and will continue to grow in popularity. Especially since Apple isnt verry keen on targeting enterprises. Ipads have become a nuisance for many a it-employee to manage and are, simply put, just not very enterprise friendly.

    Vmware has already adopted windows 8 phones and tablets and even laptops and desktops and this is one of the reasons its currently a lot more popular than Sophos MDM. I prefer Sophos solutions and especially because your virus protection suite is so great. It would be a shame for us having to resort to (the probably more expensive) Vmware Airwatch or Windows Intune, because Sophos fails to see the importance of supporting certain platforms.

    It therefor would be great to add more support for windows products, including phones, tablets, desktops and laptops.
