Questions about MDM

Hi, a new customer is interested in MDM and there were a couple of questions i couldnt answer. I' be glad if anyone here could answer or a Sophos representative could contact me.

* when we use a container on an employees device, must the access to the container be unlocked in any way? Ot does the employee just unlocks the phone and the container is available?

* when you use the Sophos e-mail app, is it still possible for the user to add the mail-account into his own e-mail-client where the user stores his personal e-mail-account(s)?

* is there mobile device managment for windows 10 laptops/notebooks? with features like "locate/lock the device"?

    Hi .

    Sophos Secure Workspace is an app for Android devices, iPhones, and iPads that allows users to access encrypted files stored in the cloud. I would suggest you to refer to this configuration document and the features available within Sophos Secure workspace and email.

    Hi 

    For Sophos Container if you have set up the policy " Enable Sophos Container password", then only the user will be asked for an additional password to start the Sophs Container app. If "Lock on device lock" has been enabled under the policy, then the Sophos container will be locked when the device is locked. If the check box is cleared, the container is locked only after the grace period has expired. Elsewhen the phone is unlocked the container will be available.

    In addition to the main email account, you can add up to two accounts, called Managed accounts, to Sophos Secure Email.


    Sophos Mobile Control supports Windows 10 Home, Pro, Enterprise, and Education Desktops only, please check this article for more details.
