‘Monitor Storage' feature is no longer working

Hi Uttaran,

I tested out this scenario on my test Android device and found that Sophos is alerting when downloading the file and in order to download the file, we need to click on the "Allow" button. Please check this screenshot:

Upon allowing the download, Sophos Live protection's monitor storage comes in to play and detects the file as Andr/Generic-S. Please check out this screenshot: 

This is how I have configured my AV policy:

Can you confirm the device is assigned the AV policy and is synchronized to the SMC server?

But if we downloaded the same file via chrome browser then Sophos Mobile Security doesn't detect tge file automatically???

The above test was performed using Chrome. 

Oh sorry it's typing mistake... actually i meant to say that if we tried to download the same file via UC browser then Sophos Mobile Security doesn't detect the file immediately after download complets...(only detects when manual scan or scheduled scan is run)

That is expected behavior as UC browser does not fall under the list of supported browsers. The list can be found here.

But sometimes if i download the same virus apk file again & again using Chrome then Sophos Mobile Security doesn't detects the virus apk file unless i perform a manual scan...why??? Is it a technical bug?

Under the settings of Sophos Mobile Security application, can you confirm that "Scan Storage" and "Monitor Storage" options are checked? Try rebooting the device and check if you are able to reproduce this issue. If you are still facing this issue, I would request you to raise a support case for further investigation.
