Smart Banners - "Allow sender" what's the benefit

I am wondering what the benefit of selecting "Allow sender" for a flagged e-mail is. The only thing that it affect is that in future E-Mails from the contact the "Allow sende" link isn't there any longer.

I would have expected that the warning itself would not be displayed.

    An allow sender will assure e-mail from that sender is not quarantianed as spam or bulk. 

    It is still outside email of which content and attachments should be treated with caution and hence the warning.
