What information is being sent to Sophos Central?

Hello,

We are planning to install Sophos Protection on some servers and they will be managed through Sophos Central. Now Sophos Central is cloud based and we are worried about what is being stored in the cloud. 

What data is being sent to the cloud? Where is the cloud located?

    Thanks for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum. 

    You can find out which data center your Sophos Central environment is located on by checking the "Sophos Support" page from Sophos Central. This is the same page you enable Remote Assistance from. The following video link demonstrates how to get to this page.
    - Sophos Central: Enable Remote Assistance

    The data center is specified when the Sophos Central Admin account is created. 

    If you are curious about Sophos' Data Privacy, you can find more information on the following page.
    - Sophos Trust Center | Data Privacy Information

    The data that is retained in Sophos Central will depend on the license that you have. If you have an "XDR" license, this enables the additional data collection from your devices allowing Sophos Central to serve as an EDR solution. The Sophos Schema page linked below will give you an idea of some of the information that will be collected for EDR purposes.
