What is the update policy time cycle to endpoints?

Hello,
I'd like to implement the Peripheral Control policy on Sophos Central and I need to know what is update time cycle to the endpoints (intercept X). I need to know after I add an exception to a USB device what's the maximum time to be applied on the target endpoints. I've searched for documentation ralated but cannot find nothting that answer this question.

Thank you for the help.

Rafael

  • Hi Rafael,

Thanks for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum.

A check for updated software components will take place every hour unless you make changes from Sophos Central to the Update Management or Controlled Updating policies.

Policy compliance is checked every 2 minutes on the endpoint. A hash of the policy data an endpoint has is checked against the data that Sophos Central has. If the hashes do not match, the endpoint will request for new policy data to be sent back. You can confirm if your device has received a new policy by using the "Endpoint Self Help Tool"
