Exempt specific devices from requiring check-in?

I would like to exempt a select few devices from the requirement to check in, as we have some computers that sit on the shelf powered off and disconnected until a user requires them, as well as some meeting room laptops that are not regularly used. These devices constantly show up in Sophos Central as "medium status", and we have to manually track down that device and power it on, log in, get connected to wifi, etc. Is there a way to either exempt some devices from showing medium status after being offline for too long, or at least some way to manually clear that status for those computers?

  • Hi ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum. Unfortunately, we don't have the option to configure such an exemption. If you need to easily track which devices are sending the alerts, in Sophos Central > Devices, you can sort the devices by the last active date to see which of them haven’t been online for a certain time, their status will also be indicated.

In terms of clearing the alerts, you can try grouping the alerts and see if that helps. On the alerts page, you can group alerts for a specific event. This makes alerts easier to manage.

    I hope this helps.
