Workgroup to Domain

Hi,

I would like to ask how to move an exisitng endpoint setup from workgroup to domain? can you share any procedure how to move SEC and clients from workgroup to domain. are there any complications or issues on this?

    Hello Apollo13,

    while Changing domain name, computer name, or network type when the Enterprise Console is installed mentions network type in the heading it's not explicitely referred to in the article. Nevertheless it should apply (but to make sure please contact Support directly). Thus I think you have to uninstall all of SEC and reinstall after to move to the domain (BTW: will you "upgrade" your workgroup or join an existing domain?). As you can preserve the 'CertAuthStore' key the management server will keep the same certificates that currently installed endpoints are using, meaning: Your clients should be able to connect (RMS) to the reinstalled server (note: as it is strongly recommended not to restore the database the clients' history will be lost and you'd have to redo the configuration).
