where is the setup file located on the server for pushing out the client?

by pushing out you mean Protect Computers? Here's how Protect Computers works. Ok. it doesn't explicitly mention the path - \\Server\SophosUpdate\CIDs\Snnn\SAVSCFXP\ (where Snnn depends on the subscription selected).
