Sophos Firewall

Hi all,

I'm looking at implementing a policy using the Sophos Enterprise Console for Sophos Firewall as we don't currently use this functionality.

Does this feature set integrate with the inbuilt Windows Firewall on Windows Server 2008 to prepopulate these rules or is it a completely seperate entity?

If it's completely seperate how do people rate the functionality of the firewall is it worth using, or am I better off just using the inbuilt windows firewall?

    HI,

    The Sophos Client Firewall (SCF) is a client only firewall, it doesn't support server OS so I'd probably just recommend using the Windows firewall at least on servers, certainly for later OS, such as 2008R2+.

    You could SCF deploy it on a couple of machines as a test.  If you need different policies based on location then it could be useful.
