Unable to open a pdf

Hi 

I have received e-mail requesting a password , its from a large NHS organisation in the UK - I work from home in a different country , I have tried the password reset , resetting the password and still no luck  - what else can I try - I run windows 7 , adobe reader 11.0.2 

I have not used this system before
