Hitman Pro logs 6GB!

Out of interest, what are the logs, I can understand:

\programdata\HitmanPro.alert\logs\sophos.log

Is the other one the SQLite DB:

\programdata\HitmanPro.alert\exclabur.db?

You can delete/archive off the sophos.log but I don't want to tell you delete the other without knowing what it is.

Hi Jak,

Apologies for the late reply was out of office on Friday, it is exactly how you have described. 1 log is a Sophos Log and the other has an Exclabur.db file in the folder location. These 2 locations independently are 3GB in size and as a total come to 6GB.

I hope you can advise a way to reduce this/remove them.

You should be able to just top the "HitmanPro.Alert service" service (services.msc) then delete/rename/backup the files;

\ProgramData\HitmanPro.Alert\excalibur.db

\ProgramData\HitmanPro.Alert\Logs\Sophos.log

When you restart the "HitmanPro.Alert service" service they will both be re-created.

I guess you must have a lot of processes coming and going on this computer.  

Note: If you install a DB Lite DB browser, you can open the SQL lite DB (with the service stopped or the db file copied off) and look at the data.
