Macs running 9.0.7 fail to update from a WebCID

Yesterday a Mac user reported a problem with AutoUpdate. Let him collect the logs with SDU. It turned out that AutoUpdate constantly crashes. Using NSInvalidArgumentException as keyword I quickly found an the applicable article (how's that for a first guess :smileywink:): SophosAutoupdate continuously crashes in Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac version 9.0.7

The first user to rate it gave it a 1, the third at least a 5 (as it now has an average of 3 you can easily calculate the rating I gave). AutoUpdate has problems with an authenticated webCID. As you often use a webCID for clients not in your network the first workaround (use a network location) is irrelevant. If the server (or proxy) has a public address you probably don't want to disable authentication - so I consider none of the workarounds as suitable. Nevertheless if you don't want to wait for 9.0.8 (and I don't understand aiming as guaranteed) you'd have to make the CID anonymously accessible - it suffices to do it for the ESCOSX folder and below).
