Cant install SDE over Console

Hey I just upgraded to the Enterprise Console 5.1 and wanted to install the Disk Encryption on my clients from there, but for some odd reason the console keeps telling me that the encryption is not part of my license... 

I have an endpoint advanced license togther with a data protection add-on. both are entered into my update manager. 

after fiddeling aroud with this for a while I tried installing the safeguard policy editor, but after the installation it asks me for a password for the user "mso" which I never entered anywhere...

can somebody be of assistance?

    HI,

    Are you trying to use the Encryption that's now built into SEC as of SEC 5.1?

    If your credentials in SEC (well SUM) allow you access to that, you should see in the subscriptions dialog.

    License: "Sophos Data Protection Suite" for example and under the "Windows" section, which lists "Windows NT", "Windows 9x", "Windows 2000 and above". The Encryption" products" section as shown in the image:

    Yes I'm trying to use the SEC5.1 builtin encryption. In my Subscription it doesnt show me the option you have there on your screenshot. In my license pdf I got from sophos it says "Endpoint Data Protection add-on". Which includes Safeguard Disk Encryption and PrivateCrypto.

    Hello JTHoB,

    I think this has to be resolved with Sales. Nevertheless - do you have two sets of credentials and you have entered two update locations (both Sophos) in the SUM configuration? Guess you have the EPA first. Might be that SEC doesn't merge the information from the two sources. I'd try reorder the two sources but tests during the Beta suggest that it will (or likely could) modify your existing subscriptions if it doesn't merge the information as assumed and desired - thus I can't really recommend it (especially on a Friday :smileywink:).
