Sophos anti-virus for Unix writing to syslog.

How can I stop Sophos anti-virus for Unix (Solaris Sparc) from writing to syslog? We are managing some Solaris sparc servers with Enterprise Console and we don't need to Unix servers to log to syslog (/var/adm/messages). I already have disable the logging from Enterprise Console under the update policy  but it does not seem to have efect to the Unix servers.

We are running EC 5.2 on windows 2008 R2, and Unix AV 9.2 on the Solaris 10 (Sparc).
