Protecting machines in a a DMZ

Hi All

I have my main live domain and a test domain. I have manually installed AV onto one of the servers in the DMZ and this cannot contact the server in the live domain.

I can ping the server from the live domain but not the other way around.

I am not sure what i need to do to allow this access to the EC. What ports need opening?

Thanks

  • Hi,

In order for RMS communication to work:

    SERVER:

    TCP INCOMING 8192
    TCP INCOMING 8194

    CLIENT:
    TCP INCOMING 8194

The client needs to be able to connect to both TCP ports 8192 and 8194 of the management server (or relay).  The server (or relay) ideally should be able to connect to TCP port 8194 on the client to send it messages, otherwise it relies on the client polling the server for messages which can slow downstream messages by up to 15 minutes.

    Regards,

    Jak
