"Updating:failed" message started appearing a couple of weeks ago

Hi,

As far as i know nothing has changed, but a couple of weeks ago i starting getting the updating failed message.

I tried upgrading to Endpoint 10 but i am still getting the same message.

here is the last extract of the update log, and for comparison the last time it updated successfully

    Hello Neil,

    there's no specific error message in this log. Please check the ALUpdate logs, they should contain some detail.
    What does "tried upgrading" mean, BTW? How did you do this?

    hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I went through all the settings which seemed to be correct and re-entered the password and when i tried again it worked.

    Bit strange that the password seems to have changed?

    The upgrade to Endpoint 10 worked btw.

    Jak mentioned problems with white space. There's a slight chance that there were changes in AutoUpdate which resulted in a white space no longer being stripped. You probably don't have an iconn.cfg from before it started to fail to compare the obfuscated UserPassword strings.
