Sophos Antivirus help?

I think have a virus on my laptop and it seems to have infected all my files, because when I go on 'Sophos Endpoint Security and Control' there are over 200 items in quarantine, and most of them start with C:\WINDOWS\system32, or C:\Documents and Settings or something like that, I think that means its files from my documents? I was just wondering, if I 'clean up' all these files, will they be deleted from my laptop? And if I clean everything up will it remove the virus?

I also have Malywarebytes' Anti-Malyware on my laptop, but when I scan it using that it says there are no viruses or anything suspicious.

the number sounds bad but the important question is - which threats have been reported? Without this information it's impossible to give meaningful advice.

Depending on how much personal data you have on your laptop and whether it is backed up. I would personally completely reinstall Windows and start fresh again.
