Sophos fails

Have a client using Sophos AV on a Windows XP machine.  His AV has been failing since Friday evening.  He has no connectivity via wired or wireless.  Will Sophos failing cause conectivity issues?  I have done all the usual troubleshooting when it comes to connection issues.

    Hello GE_IT_Support,

    first thing that comes to my mind is it's the other way round: No connectivity -> Sophos icon displays x because updating failed.
    If it's not that a few more details would be very helpful: which version and components (e.g. SCF), is this a managed client and so on ... And - what exactly is meant by "failing"? Any pop ups, error messages ...?

    dear sir,

    please check your connection internet sir,,

    1. open START >> RUN>> type ping www.sophos.com -t

    if normal that reply , but if your connection down , that time out .
