SAV Scanning - HTTP(S) and SSL

Hi all

My search skills are failing me - can anyone please help?

I'm looking for some Sophos documentation on what/how HTTP/HTTPS and SSL traffic is scanned by Sophos Anti-Virus.  We are currently being audited for network security and I'm struggling to write up much about the protection offered by Sophos regarding such scanning.

TIA!

  • Hello DarkDreams,

there used to be some description bit I too no longer can't find it. Web protection is implemented as LSP and has two functions which can be independently selected: Block access to malicious websites (and Web Control) looks up the URL's/IP's classification and if it's deemed unsafe (or inappropriate in case of Web Control) access is blocked (and if necessary the content replaced by an appropriate error/warning page). Download (content) scanning is done for HTTP only.
