Device Control Block Bridged leaves WiFi disabled

We use Sophos Device Control to Block Bridged connections - a very handy feature.  However we are getting many instances where the WiFi stays in a disabled state after the LAN has been disconnected.  An admin is then required to enable the device.

Does anyone else use this feature?  Do you have a similar issue?  Has anyone found a fix?

I'm going to try setting up a devcon job the users can run to enable the card again but would prefer a fix rather than a workaround.

  • Hello DarkDreams,

didn't have a similar issue (which version of SESC?). Is it random or always on certain clients? Does SEC show any errors for these clients? Turn on verbose logging in the client's GUI (must be done by a SophosAdminstrator) - although it might not ahow much. You say that after an admin enables it it stays enabled?

I'd suggest that you contact Support. To speed up things turn on verbose logging, recreate the problem, collect the logs using SDU and send them to Support.
