Device Control Issue vs Logic

I moved from Devicewall to Sophos Endpoint 9.5 , and want to use the Device Control either in Group Membership ..NOT Windows Active Directory OU's. or via Group Policy.

Does anyone know if Device Control can used in a logical other than using Active Directory OU's (Sophos calls these wrong Groups)

  • Policies are applied to groups in SEC. Thus it depends on how you've set up your groups in SEC. Using GPO you can in theory prevent Device Control from running on certain computers in a group (by blocking the service) but this messes up things. In any case you can't apply different policies within the same (SEC) group.
