Sync error on veex.dll

I have a computer that fails to sync SAVXP (SAU and RMS sync fine). The update log shows the failure and subsequently a successful download from secondary location (Sophos). Looking at the ALU logs, the error seems to be with the file veex.dll (I read that this is the actual virus engine). I have been in touch with Support, but have not gotten very far diagnosing root cause.

If anyone has any ideas what might be causing this, please share...

    Hello John,

    sounds somewhat strange - is it constantly failing for this single computer? Could you post the relevant lines from the log?

    The root cause is one thing, the resolution another. Have you tried to delete the AutoUpdate cache on the client (note that doing so might remove the information required to diagnose the root cause)?
