Remote Console Install with a Local Database User

Hi guys,

not sure if anyone ran into this yet but I'm trying to install the management console for a user.  I'm stuck at the screen where I'm entering the mangement server information.

Where it asks for the database user account, I don't have a choice to enter the local user that was created on the computer, I can only select domain users.  We make a decision to use a local accont for the database user

  • HI,

If you can choose the local machine as the source for accounts, you could create an account on the computer with the same name as the account the management host service is running as on the management server.  I don't have the installer at hand to test it but I though you could choose a local account.

Failing that, just try choosing any domain user for now.  The config will just be written to the file enterpriseconsole.exe.config (Enterprise console programs directory) so it could be edited there later. It may just fall back to NTLM auth and just work anyway.

    Regards,

    Jak
