Sophos Update on MAC workstation floods network connection on Sophos Update server

Hi,

I have a couple of MAC Pro workstation with the latest Sophos client for MAC OSX installed and pointing to a Sophos Update Server here. When the MAC Pros try to update the antivirus defiitions, the network connection drops on the update server, and is restored when the Sophos update completes. Is there an issue with MAC OSX flooding the network connection when Sophos Auto Update is run?
