This one's got me scratching my head.
I have an Enterprise Console running on a Windows 2008 R2 64-bit server in a domain environment. Any client plugged into the LAN runs updates without a problem. My domain wireless clients (Win 7 Enterprise) don't. The wireless clients are on a separate subnet, but everything is routed properly between the LAN and the WLAN (seemingly). With my wireless client, I can plug it into a network cable and it will update, but it won't update when the network connection is wireless.
I've found a bunch of things:
1. The server is configured properly for sharing.
2. DNS resolves the server name, both wirelessly and wired.
3. Over wireless I can ping the server and RDP into the server. I just can't connect to shares for updates to Sophos.
4. The firewall policy on the router between the two subnets is wide open, permitting anything that wants to travel across the link.
Everything points me to the firewall being the culprit as the laptops connect when plugged into cable (indicating the laptops and the server are configured correctly). I suppose there might be a setting on the laptop's wireless connection that could be messing this up and I'll investigate that option now, but I'm skeptical.
Any ideas?
