On-access scanning disables

I have an issue with on-access scanning being disabled on a lot of PCs at the same time. After investigating this issue this morning I have narrowed it down to it occurring in 2 instances:

1: When I run a manual update it runs and when it installs any new updates it instantly disables

2: We noticed in the office that it turned off on all our PCs at roughly the same time and when we looked at when it last checked for updates it was the same time as the on-access went disabled.

Does Sophos know about this issue or has anyone else come across it.

    Hi there,

    It could be that the updates are fetching a policy that disables on-access. We could use some additional details: How do you get the on-access back enabled? What is the product you are using?

    I would check the update location that is specified on a client, and see that update location does not contains a SAV xml policy (How do you get the on-access back enabled) under <SophosUpdateShareLocation>\CIDs\<Subscription>\SAVSCFXP\savxp More details https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/13111.aspx
