Troj/AutoHK-B/C/E keeps coming back. Also moved to quarantine but go to quarantine manager, it dissappears.

Hi guys,

Im new here. By the way i have a client who's complaining that there is a balloon kept popping out from the task bar stating Troj/AutoHK-B/C/E detected moved to quarantine. 

2nd issue, open quarantine manager and the quarantined files disappears. 

Any solutions to this?

    Hello Daniel Yee,

    a client who's complaining that there is a balloon kept popping out
    well, the default AV policy setting for Desktop Messaging is enabled. But I guess the complaint is not about the pop-up per se but its recurrence. The AV and HIPS log has the details and should list the path which might give a hint why there's a repeated detection. If not, the Source Of Infection Tool might help.

    the quarantined files disappears
    this might be normal. As far as I can see items detected as Troj/AutoHK are Windows executables, for these the cleanup routines can take some time (the file could have been executed thus a scan for potential effects is performed and only after it has finished cleanup is complete). Likely QM displays Cleaning up ... or a status to this effect until cleanup is complete and the item disappears.

    okay thanks for your reply. By the way there is a pendrive infected with this autoHK virus and its contents became hidden. Also it changes the file extension to .2

    Anyways to retrieve the files back?
