didn't used to have to login to sophos when restarting pc - what changed?

something changed in my sophos antivirus set up recently after i attempted to delete an adware file.

when i login to my computer now, before logging into the vpn module to get to the secure server, the sophos software makes me log in to it - never had to do that before

obviously i must have reset something but can't figure out what i did and no idea how to reset it back
