Sophos Anti-Virus version 9 on Solaris 9 (Error initialising detection engine [0x80040200])

Hi all,

We were using Sophos version 4.06.0 on Solaris 9 (installed on /opt/sophos).
We downloaded version 9.7 (sav-solaris-9-sparc.tar) and test installed to /opt/sophos-av/ (without uninstall 4.06.0 in a separate directory)

The daemon can start (from savdstatus), but savscan failed with "Error initialising detection engine [0x80040200]"
(see output below).

Appreciate if anyone has some advice.

0x80040200 is SOPHOS_SAVI_ERROR_INITIALISING, so not very helpful ("The SAVI interface could not be initialised").
Having SAV4 installed at the same time shouldn't cause any problems, but there might be configuration files created that break things.
Solaris 9 is only supported till the end of October (http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/119018.aspx) so you should upgrade your operating system before it goes out of support.
