Maximum Number of Update Mangers

Question

Hello...we're rolling out sophos to 4000 devices at 90 locations. Is there a max # of Update Managers or a recommended # an environment should have? We have T1's to each site so bandwidth is an issue and a local update server would be preferred. We already have servers onsite that could handle this.

Hello ryan,

I'm not aware of an explicit limit and I don't see why the management server shouldn't be able to handle 90 SUMs. It'd probably be a good idea to set these up as message relays as well - this will reduce the RMS connections (not necessarily the traffic) over the T1 links.
