Java Update in Application Control

Is there any way to possibly know what to remove to get the Application Control to stop detecting Java Update?

I don't want Java Update to run so I added it, it stops it from running but I have constant Application Blocks in my log for a lot of my workstations.

I've blanketed my domain and removed some registry entries.

\\HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, SunJavaUpdateSched - the startup item.

The entire key

\\HKLM\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Update - Java Update local policy.  Removing this key removes the tab update from the Java Control Panel.

I also deleted  the folder from Common Files,  ..Java\Java Update

I'm still getting alerts.  With Application Control off on a workstation, Java Update cannot/will not run.  So i'm kind of at a loss what is triggering the log.  Any ideas?

  • Small update...

Searched the drive of some of the machines showing up and there appears to be a jucheck.exe in the Program Files\Java\JREv\Bin folder.

Checking JRE6 and JRE7\bin folders for jucheck across the machines and removing it.  See if this cuts back on the ammount of returns.
