Another day another false positive

can you explain why these two, specifically malware disinfecting programs are flagged as trojans?

And of course i cannot seem to whitelist them or "allow" them. You guys should really reconsider the idea that assumed virii should never be allowed to be allowed. Really getting tired of all these false positives with sophos.

    Hello givemecontrol,

    malware disinfecting programs

    cports is not a disinfector. IceSword (the last version, 1.22, is from 2007 ...) is detected as PUA, subtype Hacking Tool - as such it can be authorized. Anyway, neither should be reported as trojan - could you give the names (and details) of the detections?

    whitelisting the file names did appear to work. i guess it just took a while, but i can copy the file now.

    sorry to bother you! if it happens again ill take a screen shot. I might have used the wrong term, but i could not authorize them.
