We have users who are wanting to exclude their Time Machine backup drive from On Access scanning. Because the drive names vary from user to user we cannot implement a policy to global exclude these drives. The users are able to add the drives to the Excluded Items on their local computer, however when the policy gets updated from the Enterprise Console, the exclusions are overwritten and cleared out. How are we able to allow users to exclude items per machine without them getting overwritten by policy?
