Client blocked - differ from policy firewall

my windows 8.1 clients are getting blocked from firewall after an initial sophos install.

The client firewall policy is saying differs from policy and blocked by default

why is it not pulling down the policy?

    Hello sophosusr1,

    and it does work with other Windows versions? Guess you rebooted the endpoints, didn't you?

    Obviously the endpoints communicate with the management server - the initial compliance status should be Awaiting policy from console and only after receiving a policy the endpoint will (try to) apply the policy and report Differs ... or Same.

    So - if after a reboot they are still not compliant I'd first check the firewall's System log on the endpoint.

    I have the same issue, however more wide spread. Recently my numbers have been jumping with "errors" from 200-800 due to the auto-update failing and the sophos firewall policy not being applied correctly. I have tried to do a mass "protect pcs" and so far failure. Any ideas?
